Me and my friends were kicking back in our comfy gaming chairs, hooked up to the xbox, playing a game everyone knows about now - yet didn't at the time :) - while eating a large pepperoni pizza and drinking buzz cola. The video game industry is worth over 25 billion dollars. Yep you heard right, it is said to have overtaken the movie industry. The big name game companies are now investing more than ever into their game production. That is why every single game that is now released must extensively tested by paid game testers. They simply cant afford to release a game that is full of bugs, or simply downright sucks

It's the game testers job to test the boundaries of the game from head to toe and point out any glitches, bugs, errors and make suggestion on how to improve the game. So how could we be so lucky to land a game testing job? It's isn't luck. Like any job you need to meet the requirements and make an application.

When I was studying computer game design at college, I heard of classmates who had got jobs testing some yet to be released game. They told me about how they just got lucky, you know... a friend who knew a friend. But when they had finished testing the game, that was it, it was back to looking for a normal 9 to 5 to pay their college expenses
